Hi,

I have a friend who's facing eviction from his home in western MA. This morning he received a notice that was titled "Notice of Change of Ownership." It stated that it was not an eviction notice, but that LNV Corporation (based in TX) had bought the home at an auction. It advised my friend not to pay rent to his former landlord but to LNV, and it notified him that LNV had the right to access his home to show the property to prospective buyers.

My friend is disabled and has a low income, and that's why I am writing on his behalf. Can you help me discern what this notice means? What course of action would you recommend? I have been in touch once before and was given contact info for Malcolm Chu, who I plan to call, but I thought emailing here couldn't hurt as well. I want to organize around this eviction to prevent it from happening. My friend is able to pay a reasonable mortgage on his home but refinancing has been refused multiple times.

Thank you for your help!!!
Ben Ross

I am dealing with BOA trying to foresclose on my home in Chicopee. Where can I get help to stop this? BOA pays no attention to my letters. BOA has failed to apply payments I have made and will not correct or acknowledge their errors (3 and mounting)! Are their any lawyers in the Occupy movement that will take my case?
The stress is really taking it's toll on me.
